A Year at Solvaria: 2018
Ever had a year that went by so fast you can't believe it's already over? That's how 2018 has been at Solvaria. We have stayed endlessly busy by expanding our services, our staff and our capabilities over the last 12 months. We also welcomed five new hires to our growing data team and are still looking to add a few more. With a 20% sales growth in 2018, we have set an aggressive target for 2019 and hope to continue to add great clients to our portfolio.
As we approach the final few days of this whirlwind year, here’s a quick recap of 2018's company highlights:
We Launched A Data Analytics Practice: In early 2018, Solvaria added Data Analytics to its suite of services to help organizations embrace an increasingly competitive “data-driven” culture. Our data scientists work with the ecosystem of personnel, technology and process to put organizations on the path to implementing Data Analytics in one or multiple lines of business. Specific services include data science assessments, requirements gathering and analytics project execution, fractional chief analytics officer implementation, data science staff mentoring and training, and more.
Achieved Microsoft Gold Partnership in Data Analytics: A few months after launching our Analytics Practice, we achieved Microsoft’s Gold Competency in Data Analytics as of Q2 2018. The Gold Competency in Data Analytics is Microsoft's highest level of certification and is only awarded to companies that have demonstrated expertise in SQL Server administration and in building enterprise-scale data solutions both on-premises and in cloud environments. Businesses that achieve this level of competency are among the top one percent of Microsoft elite partners worldwide.
Named Among Richmond's Most Generous Companies: Giving back to the community we work in has been an important pillar of our company culture over the last few years. We are honored to have been included among this list of generous companies, but even more honored to have been able to make contributions to the Brain Injury Association of Virginia, the Virginia Home for Boys and Girls, the Math Science Innovation Center, and our largest gift recipient, CodeVA.
Named to Inc. 5000 List of Fastest Growing Companies for the Second Time: For the second consecutive year, Solvaria appeared on the Inc. 5000 list of Fasted Growing Companies in America, and we could not be more proud of this achievement! Ranking #4,809 on the list, this reflects a three-year revenue growth of 63%. We are so thankful for our team for putting in the work to build our business, and equally as thankful for our customers who have allowed us to continue to do what we love.
Hosted Betting Big on Tech: Second Annual Charity Casino Night: This annual event is so important to us for many reasons. First and foremost, it allows us to give back to the future of our industry via a donation to CodeVa. With help from our sponsors, we were able to donate more than $22,000 directly to CodeVa as a result of this event. Second, Betting Big on Tech brings members of Richmond's technology community together not only to have some fun and network with friends, partners and colleagues, but also to support a great cause that impacts all of our businesses. We are so passionate about this cause and hope to build upon its success each year.
We want to thank you again for your support this past year. We’re looking forward to many more years of doing business together.
Happy New Year!
